I will tell Cigarettes And It’s Harms. Cigarette is a substance that makes addictive. It hurts humans health for being sold freely. It is not only a health problem but also a social and economic problem. Cigarettes have over 4000 carcinogenic and toxic substances, including most dangerous ones; arsenic(ratsbane), gasoline, cadmium(metal of battery), hydrogen cyanide(poison of gas chambers), toluene(thinner), ammonia and propylene glycol. Consequently, tar(asphalt), occurs in our lungs. The amount of blood and oxygen that comes to all the tissues decreases as vessels shrink within time. As a result of not being fed well the damage on tissues and body increases. Actually, the one of the most dramatic consequences of it is the carcinogenic in cigarette increases the risk of cancer occurrence especially the organs in which the carcinogens are most affected.

Also, cigarette is being a step for other drugs. The majority of young who smokes start using alcohol. Smoking young have 8 times more the risk of starting drugs than non-smoker young. Young who get used to cigarettes, even though they don’t start drugs, becomes cigarette addictive adults and be exposed to chemical substances that threaten their life for a lifetime.

If we list the negative effects of cigarette in our bodies and our lives we can say those: Having heavy and bad smell in our environment, dark skin and signs of looking like old, dirty and bad on teeth and gum diseases, lack of getting taste in mouth and swallow, increase of cancer risk in mouth, swallow, throat, trachea, lungs, stomach, esophagus, pancreas, uterus, increase of bladder cancer risk, heart attack due to damage that vessels and heart has seen, paralysis in the brain,

becoming a senile in advanced age(Alzheimer), cataract in eyes and blindness in advanced age, loss of smell, obstructive lung diseases such as chronic bronchitis and emphysema, bleeding in stomach and esophagus, ulcer, impotence, decrease in erection, deficiency in fertilization, genetic disorders, yellow hands and fingers, weakness in nails, osteoporosis and formation of diseases which obstruct the capillaries starting from hands and feet to arms and legs and cause discontinuation of these organs. Also tiredness, insomnia, spiritual tension, stress, decrease in performance, declines in reflexes occurs in person.

Although cigarette is that effective and dangerous substance, positive changes in our body occurs when it is quitted. After 20 minutes blood pressure and pulse descend to normal level, after 8 hours the amount of oxygen rises to normal level, after 24 hours the risk of heart attack decreases, after 48 hours nerve endings become refreshed, after 2 weeks-3 months lungs function improve by %30 while blood circulation becomes balanced, after 1-9 months coughing crises, fatigue, short breathes decreases, after 1 year the risk of coronary insufficiency reduces by half, after 5 years the risk of dying from lung cancer reduces by half, after 10 years the risk of lung cancer level drops to the level of non-smokers, 15 years later the risk of coronary insufficiency level drops to the level of non-smokers.

Primarily, you need to set a way and a date to yourself to quit smoking. In recent years, both social and administrative efforts in order to make people quit smoking have been seen and health care establishments actively provides support about this issue. The best thing can be done for individual and community health is nothing but setting a route and take the road.
